1 - Abstinencia dos comportamentos e/ou consumos que mantêm a Adicção Activa.
2 - Frequencia assidua de Grupos de auto Ajuda (no modelo dos 12 Passos).
3 - Envolvimento em Serviço (nos mesmos Grupos de Auto Ajuda).
4 - Practicar os 12 Passos (por escrito).
5 - Envolvimento em relação de Apadrinhamento (ou relação terapeutica em Psicoterapia).
What is Recovery? What is a Recovering Addict supose to do? This questions can be answered in several different ways, nevertheless, I believe that 5 main characteristics should be present in a Recovering Addict Life Style:
1 - Abstinence from mood altering behaviou and/or substance.
2 - Going regularly to 12 Steps Meetings.
3 - Beeing involved in Service at those 12 Step Meetings.
4 - Work the Steps (written).
5 - Having a commitment with a Sponsor (or eventually Psychotherapist).
